Why India is still India

We are more concerned about the arrest of Sanjay Dutt than in the pitiful plight of our retires armymen and those innocent men and women those who are affected by the brutal acts of the terrorists and the government.

We show greater importance to a celebrity who fakes charity for fame than to a man who helps the poor to the neighbourhood.

We dont honour our real heros neither do we recogonise them as the one who truly deserve praise and adulation.

We throw garbage into the street, spit in the open places ,try to cheat the government for our benefits, bribe for our comfort but expect the politicians to be honest!

We dicuss the things that can change India but wont come forward to do it ourselves.

We write blogs of what we know and hoping that someday some miracle change this poor old country hesitating to create that miracle...

The Men who made me-II

I can still remember that cover drive as it is happening right infront of my eyes although it might have happened some nine years back on a typical weeknight. That great Innings in the super six match against South Africa at the 99 world cup ,which altered a nightmare of a situation in to a glorious win.Coming from Nowhere,he produced one of the greatest one day innings of all time. And I dont have to say he is,Stephen Rodger Waugh.

The way,he fought against bouncers ,how he mastered his team during tough times is just amazing. And when they lost some important test matches in a row,a message came out of the man and was stuck on the bathroom on one fine morning,

"Today is the first day of our journey to the Invincible"

They made that 15 wins in a row -record right from that day....

He brought it me something that always keeps me going

"Perseverence".

The Men who made Me

At times when you look back at your life and think how would it be if some incident had not been happened or if you hadn't met someone and you realize that very moment had been the defining moment of your life.Believe me everyone has to have something like this in their life. And what this post is about an incident that have influenced my life than anything else...

Pete
sampras...

When I look back now, 8 years ago, when I was studying my ninth or tenth standard ,I could still remember the day ,when I bought that 'Sport star' magazine ,trying to buy the one which had some cricket news ,the shopkeeper gave me the next edition(I bought it thinking it as the previous edition),It had some thing like "The Lion roars back" with the great Pete Sampras behind...

I started reading that amazing piece of work, by Nirmal Shekar, which started with
" The higher You fly ,the smaller you appear to those who cannot fly".

When I was wondering what life is,Sampras gave me a picture of what life is all about beyond money,pride,glory-the urge to challenge oneself and come out on top .Sampras did it winning the U.S. open beating Andre Agassi on paper and practically all his age, time and all the cynicism built around him.

still I could remember

"Sampras at 80% can beat Agassi at 100%"

And I thought -What made a man who had 13 grandslam titles(world record) and staying Six year ends at No:1(World record),Staying record number of weeks at no:1,still wanted that elusive U.S open not to prove to the world but to himself that he is still a fighter.

And that gave me the most beautiful character that I pursue have it me

"Challenge Myself"
