Why I can't live without Cricket

I woke up on the morning of the days after watching the first innings of the two matches ,standing on the road ,standing in a barber shop for three hours(DD and SET MAX are not available in our college!!!),only to hear that India lost those matches .I was unable to beleive that the rest of the worls cup did not feature our beloved players.

I would never say ,Watching Cricket 9is about patriotism ,passion for sports etc.It is a part of my life ,my day to day activities ,just like brushing ,bathing etc.I could remember every part of my life right from my childhooddays to the tense moments of our board exams with reference to the corresponding cricket matches. The games are one of those things that moulded me into myself.

It is just amazing to think of certain things in life that happens without our knowledge and knowing those things after their happenings.Harsha Bhogle and Ravi Shastri taught me how to talk on stage,Steve Waugh emphasised perseverence in life,Sachin showed how aggression is an integral part of life,Dravid instilled patience in me ,Imran Khan showed how to show empathy over others.

The two knocks of Sachin in Sharjah told me how one man with his will can conquer the world. The Natwest final in Lords authoured by Yuvraj and Kaif showed the powewr of youth.Naseer Hussain and Steve Waugh showed how to be a fighter at tough situations.

Whatever may be the causes of failure of Indian cricketers, it is the failure of the entire cricketing system, the enter nation ,the entire fraternity of fans .The players are the best 11 of one billion people. The best can't deliver when it matters. This is a humiliation ,embarrassment and disgrace to our system and our deficiencies are brought into the spotlight.

After all......
Cricket is not my passion,
It is embedded in my life and nothibg can take it away even by India's early exit from the quadrennial carnival and only these glorious uncertainities in sports keep its spirits alive...
